Littleton Coin Company President Receives National Award
LITTLETON David Sundman, the president of Littleton Coin Company, received the ANA’s Dealer Booster Award at the American Numismatic Association’s (ANA) World’s Fair of Money®, August 20, in Pittsburgh. Established in 1982 to advance the growth of the ANA, the prestigious recruitment award is given annually to the ANA member who procures the most new members that year. Sundman, who signed up 1,457 individuals last year alone, was hailed as the top membership recruiter at the organization’s 113th anniversary convention.
The Littleton Coin Company president vigorously supports the ANA’s various efforts, including its educational seminars and conventions, numismatic library and museum. The association was founded in 1891 to promote historical, educational, and scientific aspects of numismatics the study or collecting of coins, medals, paper money, etc. With over 32,000 members, the ANA is the world’s largest numismatic organization of its kind.
Based in Littleton, New Hampshire, Littleton Coin Company has become one of the world’s largest coin and paper money mail-order operations. David’s father Maynard Sundman founded the firm in 1945. Today, it employs approximately 330 people and handles nearly 1.5 million pieces of mail annually.
