1921 Liberty Walking Half Dollar

Struck over 85 years ago at the main U.S. Mint in Philadelphia, the 1921 silver half dollars are from one of America's best-loved and most attractive coinage series. Liberty Walking half dollars were designed by sculptor A. A. Weinman and introduced in 1916, when beautiful new motifs also debuted on quarters and dimes (the new dime was also designed by Weinman). This marked the first time in U.S. history that 10¢, 25¢ and 50¢ coins all bore different designs.
