Now offered together – America’s last large-size and first small-size $1 Silver Certificates! Last issued in 1928, the large-size note (7 3⁄8" x 3 1⁄8") was nicknamed “Horseblanket” for its size. The new Silver Certificate, first released in 1929, was smaller (about 6 1⁄8" x 2 5⁄8") and featured an ornate green design on the back. The mismatched-looking face and back designs caused people to call the note a “Funnyback.”

Silver Certificates, still legal tender though no longer payable in silver, remain in great demand among collectors for their historical significance and famous blue seals and serial numbers. This last large-size design and first small-size Silver Certificate set SAVES YOU off single-note prices and makes a distinctive addition to your collection!
