- Legends on the 20-stamp sheet include lawman Wyatt Earp; sharpshooter Annie Oakley; showman Wild Bill Hickock; Native American Chief Geronimo; and African-American rodeo cowboy Bill Pickett, who came up with the feat known as steer wrestling
- But, due to a design error, his brother Ben Pickett was depicted in the original print run and USPS withdrew the error sheets
- In doing so, USPS created a modern rarity and ran a mail-order lottery, offering just 150,000 error sheets to recoup the cost of printing correct sheets
- Error sheet includes original USPS envelope and is Scott #2870
- Correct sheet is Scott #2869
- Both 29¢ stamp sheets are in Mint Never Hinged (MNH) Post Office Fresh condition
