This 90% silver half dollar was struck at the Philadelphia Mint in 1936. It was issued for the Great Lakes Exposition – held in conjunction with the 100th anniversary of Cleveland's incorporation as a city. The obverse bears the profile of Moses Cleaveland, founder of the original settlement in 1796. The reverse features an outline of the Great Lakes, with a compass pointing to a large star representing Cleveland. Eight other Great Lakes cities are indicated withsmaller stars. Get yours now!
