Customer Reviews
Hostilian was the youngest son of Trajan Decius. Although he was given the rank of Caesar shortly before his father left to battle with the Goths, he had to remain in Rome. When his father and elder brother were killed, Trebonianus Gallus became emperor and made Hostilian Augustus in A.D. 251. Shortly after receiving the title, Hostilian was stricken with the plague and died.
