Customer Reviews
This coin circulated while Judaea was ruled by procurators or prefects appointed by Augustus. Marcus Ambibulus, the predecessor of Pontius Pilate, issued one coin type with three different dates, struck from A.D. 9-11. The obverse features an ear of barley curved to right with the Greek inscription KAIPOC (Caesar). The reverse features a palm tree bearing two bunches of dates.
