Antonius Felix, an ex-slave, became Procurator of Rome after Agrippa I died. Felix`s connections to Roman emperor Claudius` household helped him secure his post as Procurator. The obverse of this coin, dated A.D. 54 (Year 14), bears the inscription IOY/AIAAI/PIIIIII/NA (Julia Agrippina - wife of Claudius) within a wreath. Agrippina probably helped Felix obtain his position. The reverse displays two crossed palms and the date.
