These coins were struck between A.D. 52 and 59, and circulated while Judaea was administrated by Procurator Antonius Felix under authority of Emperor Claudius. The obverse features two oblong shields and two spears crossed, surrounded by the name Nero Claudius Caesar (son of Claudius). The reverse features a six-branched palm tree bearing two bunches of dates, and the name Britannicus (second son of Claudius).
