This popular ancient Roman coin depicts the remarkable Helena who grew up in Asia Minor as a barmaid in her father`s tavern. She became the first wife of Constantius I, and the mother of Constantine the Great. Helena became a Christian, traveled to the Holy Land, and is said to have found the True Cross (upon which Christ was crucified). She founded many churches in her lifetime and was made a saint in the Christian church.
