Customer Reviews
During a special ceremony in A.D. 317, the co-emperors of the Roman Empire, Constantine the Great and Licinius I, made their sons Caesars. Although still a child, it was thought Licinius II would inherit his father`s portion of the Empire. Yet from A.D. 321 on, the situation between the two Augustii steadily deteriorated until war broke out in A.D. 324. Both Licinii lost their titles and later were executed.
