Struck from A.D 15-26 under Valerius Gratus – the first Procurator of Judaea appointed by emperor Tiberius – this genuine bronze Prutah actually circulated during the life of Christ. Gratus is best known for restructuring the leadership in the Temple during his Procuratorship. Gratus’ successor, Pontius Pilate, was the governor who sentenced Jesus to death.

The obverse of each coin displays Tiberius’ name surrounded by a wreath, while a palm branch is on the reverse. Add historical interest to your collection with this 2,000-year-old coin – order now!
