Customer Reviews
Own this historic bronze Prutah struck under Herod Archelaus - son of Herod the Great. Archelaus ruled Judaea after the death of his father. However, his reign was marked by such cruelty, that Judaeans traveled to Rome to ask Augustus to remove him from power. As a result, Herod Archelaus was banished to Vienna. Obverse features grapes on a vine, with the legend of Herod in Greek. Reverse displays a helmet with flowing crest and ear flaps.
