Customer Reviews
Magnetes were Ancient Greek people from an area known as Thessaly. They were mentioned by Homer in the Iliad as one of the Greek armies besieging Troy. During the Ancient Greeks wars against the Persians, the Thessalians offered little resistance, and Thessaly was even used as winter camp for an invading Persian army. The Thessalians then were conquered by Philip II of Macedon in 353 B.C. and in 168 B.C., Thessaly became a province of the Roman Republic.
