2004 Gold-Plated Peace Medal Jefferson Nickel

Celebrate the first nickel of the Westward Journey Series, now enhanced with brilliant gold-plating. Issued to commemorate the Louisiana Purchase of 1803, this is the first change to the nickel in 65 years. It retains a Jefferson portrait obverse, but the Monticello reverse has been replaced with the new Peace Medal design, now with gold-plating!
