Customer Reviews
These one-year-only 90% silver dollars struck at West Point in 2002 celebrated the bicentennial of the U.S. Military Academy and its dedication to "duty, honor, country" (West Point's motto). Established on March 16, 1802 by Thomas Jefferson, the academy has graduated many famous generals including Robert E. Lee, William Sherman, George Custer, Omar Bradley, George Patton and Douglas MacArthur – as well as Ulysses S. Grant and Dwight D. Eisenhower, who both later served as president.

You can own the Uncirculated West Point silver dollar with mintage of only 103,201 and the special Proof edition with a mintage of just 288,293. The obverse depicts an Academy cadet color guard in parade exercise. West Point's Washington Hall and Cadet Chapel are seen in the background. The reverse features the West Point bicentennial logo, adapted from the academy's seal. Each commemorative coin bears the "W" mint mark of the West Point Mint – located on land that was once part of this prestigous academy.
