Known as “the Wall,” it recognizes more than 58,000 men and women who died or remain missing in action (MIA) because of the war. Made out of highly-polished black granite, the Wall is over 240 feet long and rises 10.1 feet at its tallest point. A portion of it is shown on this magnificent coin’s obverse, with a hand reaching out to touch the wall. Three medals and ribbons are featured on the reverse.
