1987 U.S. Constitution Bicentennial Silver Dollar Commemorative

Created in 1787 to secure the blessings of “Justice,” “Liberty” and “Tranquility” for all, the U.S. Constitution is the cornerstone of our nation. Today, this national treasure endures as one of the world’s greatest tributes to freedom.

This 90% pure silver commemorative dollar honors the 200th Anniversary of that historic document. Struck in 1987, this silver dollar was designed by New Hampshire’s own Patricia L. Verani. “We The People,” the opening words of the Constitution, is superimposed over a sheaf of parchment, along with a quill pen. The group of Americans in colonial to modern clothing on the reverse, represents the concept of “We the People.” This Uncirculated or Proof (our choice) silver dollar deserves a place in their collection!
