Called America’s “Forgotten War,” because it was sandwiched between WWII and Vietnam, the Korean War was one of the first conflicts of the Cold War era and nuclear age. On July 27, 1953, the U.S. and North Korea signed an armistice, setting the boundary between the North and South at the 38th parallel and “ending” the Korean War.
