Issued to commemorate the 300th anniversary of Roger Williams's founding of Providence in 1636. The obverse shows Roger Williams in a canoe, being welcomed by an Indian. The reverse depicts the anchor of Hope with a shield and mantling. Oddly enough, no mention of the city is found on the coin. Mintage: 20,013. Add one to your collection today!
