1936-D Liberty Walking Silver Half Dollar

The popular 1936-D Liberty Walking half dollars were struck in 90% fine silver at the Denver Mint, and bear "D" mint marks below the pine sapling on the reverse. Designed by the renowned sculptor A. A. Weinman, Liberty "Walkers" were a refreshing artistic change from the previous U.S. half dollars. The obverse motif of Liberty striding toward the rising sun, and reverse depiction of a proud eagle, are praised for their detail and beauty!
