Customer Reviews

This low-mintage coin marked the 400th anniversary of Spanish explorer Alvar Nunez Cabeza de Vaca's 16th-century expedition through the Gulf states from the Florida coast to El Paso, Texas. The obverse depicts the head of a steer while the reverse features a yucca tree and a map of the Old Spanish Trail. Mintage was a mere 10,008 coins and only a fraction have been preserved in Gem Uncirculated condition. You can now own one of the finest-quality examples of a classic silver U.S. commemorative struck more than 80 years ago.
