1931-S Mercury Dime

The 90% silver Mercury dime met with widespread approval when introduced in 1916. Designed by the noted sculptor A. A. Weinman, the obverse depicts Liberty wearing a winged cap to signify liberty of thought. The reverse features a bundle of fasces, symbolizing strength and preparedness.
