Now own a scarce, Choice Uncirculated $2.50 gold quarter eagle from 1928 – the next to last year of the series! What I really like about these 90% gold Indian Heads are their look! The design is truly American, and unlike any other U.S. coin.

This innovative style is found only on the gold half and quarter eagles of 1908-1929. Bela Lyon Pratt created this design by recessing or "incusing" the artistic elements below the coin's surface. Plus, the native American chief on the obverse is a bold departure from previous "liberty" types.

Because of Roosevelt's Gold Reserve Act of 1933, thousands of collectors gave up gold coins, which were melted. So today, quarter eagles in this condition are scarce! But if you act now, you can own a $2.50 gold Indian Head from the next to last year of the series. Each has been graded by our experts and certified by NGC. To date, NGC has certified a total of 3,534 Choice Uncirculated coins from 1928. If you've ever wanted this scarce and distinctive gold coin in Mint State, here is your chance!
