Customer Reviews

Add visual and historical interest to your collection with this handsomely preserved example of the last large size $1 Silver Certificate! Last issued over 90 years ago, this Series 1923 note displays large blue serial numbers, Treasury seal and numeral “1”. Plus, it features the scarce Woods-Tate signature combination – in use for just 7 months and 16 days. Due to the limited issue, and with many redeemed and destroyed, only 600 examples are known to exist today, making this a key signature combination for the 1923 series!

Featuring a familiar portrait of George Washington on the face, the popular back design is nicknamed “cogwheel” for its circular central device. Silver Certificates were “receipts” for silver held by the Treasury, and this note bears the promise ONE SILVER DOLLAR PAYABLE TO THE BEARER ON DEMAND. Our supply is extremely limited, and we don’t know when we’ll be able to make an offer like this again. Order now to add prestige to your collection!
