Customer Reviews
The early 20th century 1911-D Barber half dollar was struck in 90% silver at the Denver Mint, which opened in 1906 to serve the coinage needs of the central and Rocky Mountain regions of the country. Barber half dollars are named for their designer, Charles E. Barber, and feature the profile of Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap. The word liberty is found on a small band, or ribbon, above her forehead. The reverse is an adaptation of the Great Seal of the United States.
