1903-O Morgan Silver Dollar NGC 63#2

This Morgan dollar issue has an interesting story. Before 1962, it was the rarest Morgan dollar in Uncirculated condition in the entire series! Then a long-hidden government hoard of Uncirculated 1903-O Morgans was discovered and released - making the coins only moderately scarce in mint-state grades. However, most of the used coins were melted over the years as 1903-O silver dollars in Circulated grades cost nearly as much as mint-state pieces!
