1899-S Liberty Head $10 Gold Eagle

The 1899-S Liberty Head $10 gold pieces were the last 19th century coins of the series from the San Francisco Mint. They were struck at the venerable 2nd San Francisco minting facility, nicknamed "the Granite Lady", which was one of very few downtown buildings to withstand the devastating 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fire.
