Customer Reviews
Nearly five million Morgan silver dollars were struck at the New Orleans Mint in 1896. Apparently, most 1896-O Morgans were placed in commercial use as very few have survived in Uncirculated condition - or even in higher Circulated grades! Any 1896-O silver dollars found today are historic remembrances of the year that gold was discovered on the Yukon River, and when the first cars for commercial sale were made in Springfield, Massachusetts.
