1888-S Morgan Silver Dollar

Production of Morgan silver dollars remained low at the San Francisco Mint in 1888 (though silver dollar mintages at the Philadelphia and New Orleans Mints the same year were quite high). A mere 657,000 Morgan dollars of 1888 bear the "S" mint mark of the San Francisco Mint, making the 1888-S one of the lower-mintage issues in the series. This coin is scarce in all grades, and a prized coin among silver dollar enthusiasts!
