Customer Reviews
The Liberty Seated design was seen on U.S. half dollars for over 50 years from 1839 to 1891. The obverse of the coins depicts Liberty seated on a rock, while the reverse depicts a heraldic eagle. The 1873 half dollar is found with a "closed 3" in the date, or "open 3" (very scarce). Available here is the 1873 Closed 3 half dollar, struck in 90% silver at the main U.S. Mint in Philadelphia and thus bearing no mint mark.
