Customer Reviews

An impressive early-date Indian with pleasing orange-brown color, excellent strike, and rich luster. Fractional paper currency was used for dimes, quarters and half dollars, as specie payments were suspended during this period. Large quantities of silver came to the Philadelphia Mint beginning in 1868, as silver bullion deposits could be converted into silver dollars.
