Customer Reviews
Last struck in 1873, half dimes are precious mementos of an earlier time in America. The 1831 Capped Bust half dime was struck in 89.24% silver, providing the intrinsic value of precious metal in addition to the face value of accepted federal currency (nickel 5¢ pieces were not introduced until 1866). The 1831 half dime was produced at the Philadelphia Mint, which was the only U.S. Mint facility until 1838. Get the historic 1831 Capped Bust silver half dime today.
