Struck over 200 years ago at the Philadelphia Mint, the 1804 Draped Bust half cent features 5 major varieties. This Stemless 1804 half cent with Plain 4 bears a standard "4" in the date on the obverse, and the wreath on the reverse does not feature the usual stems that extend beyond the bow. The Draped Bust design is seen on half cents of 1800-1808, and all these coins are prized collectibles from the early years of the nation. The 1804 half cent was issued during Thomas Jefferson`s presidency.
