A.D. 293-311 Galeria Valeria Bronze Follis

Galeria was the daughter of Diocletian and second wife of Galerius. Her tragic life was dictated by the politics of the time. She supported the persecution of Christians, though she herself may have been sympathetic. When her husband died, she fled to Maximinus Daia`s realm, but was banished. Licinius eventually put her to death as he consolidated his control of the eastern part of the Empire.
