Present the gift of history with this silver 5 schilling two-coin set from South Africa bearing the last effigy of King George VI and the first of his successor, Queen Elizabeth II. The former was issued in 1952, the same year of King George VI’s death. The latter was issued in 1953 after his daughter was crowned queen of the British Commonwealth of Nations, of which South Africa was a member. Each coin is encapsulated and comes together in a handsome display box. In this year of the queen’s 70th anniversary as monarch, give this historic silver set!
