Customer Reviews
Capped Bust half dimes were struck in 89.24% silver from 1829-1837 at the Philadelphia Mint, which was the only U.S. Mint facility during these years. Production of U.S. coins began at the Philadelphia Mint in 1793, and the half dime was introduced a year later in 1794. The half dime was struck until 1805, and then not again until 1829 when the Capped Bust coins debuted. The 1834 half dime will be a prized and historic addition to your collection.
