LITTLETON, N.H. – July 21, 2012. Littleton Coin Company partnered with arts & crafts retailer A.C. Moore to introduce the exciting hobby of coin collecting to thousands of school age children at their summer "Make and Take" event. Held at the nearly 140 participating A.C. Moore retail locations, the event included free Lincoln Cent Collecting Kits. The kits featured Lincoln cents, an informational coin card, magnifier and How to Collect Coins booklet. Over 7,000 kits were donated to the program!

Participants received a free Lincoln Cent Collecting Kit, which included this informational coin card.

During the event, children ages 4 and up learned how to identify coin dates and mint marks, discovered varied coin designs and learned about President Lincoln himself. Littleton representative Jill Kimball said, "The kids really got into it. They were handed magnifiers and were instantly captivated!" She added, "And the best part is we got to introduce families to an affordable hobby!" For those unable to attend the event, the coin card, collecting booklet and lesson plan are still available as free PDF downloads at
