Littleton Coin Employees Dig Deep
for Habitat for Humanity

LITTLETON, NH – November, 2010. Shovels, hammers and paintbrushes were the tools of choice for employees of Littleton Coin Company as they volunteered with Habitat for Humanity to build a house for a local family. Over the course of two days, this past October and November, members of the company's marketing team donated their time and energy in the hopes of getting the home ready for occupancy by the upcoming holidays.

Spirits were high as volunteers sanded walls, spread loam and painted. "It was a fun team building project," said Michael Young of Littleton Coin. "This was my second year participating and it felt really great to help out." Littleton Coin encourages participation in projects like this as part of their Community Service Program, which pays each employee for up to eight hours of donated time per year. Local non-profits such as Habitat for Humanity appreciate the help.

Chuck McLure, President of Ammonoosuc Habitat said, "We rely on the assistance of others. Getting a whole team's involvement is tremendous. It really moves the project along." The tidy ranch-style home, located in Whitefield, NH, is the second house the group has constructed since 2009. Built for a deserving family of three, it utilizes the latest in energy efficient technologies to keep ongoing costs for the family low.

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of local families in need of simple, affordable homes. The Ammonoosuc region currently serves twelve communities in Northern New Hampshire. More help is still needed on this and other projects. If you'd like to volunteer, donate, or for more information on Habitat for Humanity, please contact Chuck at 603-616-2515 or visit www.ammonoosuchabitat.org.
