Although the majestic St. Paul's Cathedral designed by noted architect Christopher Wren has been described as the "jewel in his crown" and is the burial site of many of England's most famous men, no royal wedding had ever been held there. Charles and Diana's wedding in 1981 was the first! To celebrate that historic occasion, the cathedral issued this official medallion. On the medallion's obverse, tastefully engraved busts in frosty relief of His Royal Highness Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer rise above its mirror-like surface. Centered on the reverse is a detailed view of St. Paul's Cathedral. A stunning piece that will highlight any collection. Approximately 1 1/2" in diameter.
