Customer Reviews
Born about A.D. 250 in the Roman province of Upper Moesia (now Serbia), Galerius became senior officer under Roman general Diocletian. When Diocletian became emperor of the Eastern Roman Empire in 293, he made Galerius his Caesar. Diocletian abdicated in 305, and Galerius was promoted to Augustus in the Eastern Empire. In 311, while on his death bed, Galerius canceled the persecution of Christians and granted them freedom of worship.
