Customer Reviews

Trajan Decius was sent to Moesia by Emperor Philip I to quell a revolt. Before he arrived, the soldiers had killed their leader. They proclaimed Decius emperor, and returned to Italy for war with Philip. Philip was killed, and the Senate recognized Decius as emperor. He devoted most of his time to defending the borders. Decius, his son, and most of his army were killed in battle in A.D. 251.
