Enjoy scarcer, sought-after $10 Star Notes with a star next to the serial numbers – indicating it’s a replacement note for one damaged during production or otherwise deemed defective. These Choice Crisp Uncirculated Series 1999 notes with Withrow-Summers signatures were the very first scarcer Star Notes with the current larger off-center portraits of 15th President Abraham Lincoln and first Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton. The Series 1999 issues are often called “Next Generation” notes because they feature the first major design change for small-size $10 Federal Reserve Notes since their debut in 1928. These designs are already obsolete as color has since been added to $10 currency.
The $10 Star Notes were produced at the Washington, D.C. facility of the BEP for the Cleveland Federal Reserve Bank (less than 5% of this issue are Star Notes). Buy both and save!
