Sabina was the wife of Hadrian, who ruled from A.D. 117-138, and grandniece of Trajan. When she arrived in Rome, she received the title of Augusta, but her life with Hadrian was unhappy. In fact, some writers say she was poisoned by Hadrian, while others say he forced her to commit suicide, but all agree she led an unhappy life. She died in A.D. 137.
