Issued to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the landing of the Swedes in Delaware. After landing at what is now known as Wilmington, the colonists established a church - now the oldest Protestant church still in use. The obverse features the Old Swedes Church, and the reverse features their ship, Kalmar Nyckel. This coin was authorized in 1936, struck in 1937, and dated 1938 on the reverse and 1936 on the obverse. Both Sweden and the United Sates celebrated the anniversary in 1938.
