1901-S Morgan Silver Dollar

With a mintage of just over 2.25 million, the 1901-S silver dollar today is quite scarce in the context of the Morgan series. In lower circulated grades, it is moderately priced, but Mint State 1901-S coins are in great demand among silver dollar collectors. Struck at the West Coast mint in San Francisco, the 1901-S Morgan dollars were produced during the same year that Oldsmobiles were introduced to America and Mercedes automobiles came out in Europe.
