2nd-3rd Century A.D. Elymais Bronze Drachm

Elymais spent much of its time as a vassal kingdom of the Parthian Empire. Not much is known of the people, not even their language, but their kingdom was located at the head of the Persian Gulf and they were known as skilled archers. The Elymais kingdom lasted for almost 500 years until they were overrun by the Sassanid Invasion in the 3rd century.
