1929-D Standing Liberty Silver Quarter

The Standing Liberty quarter of 1916-1930 bears one of the most beautiful coinage designs in American history. Created by the noted sculptor Hermon A. MacNeil, this short-lived quarter depicts Liberty standing at a gateway. She holds a shield in her left hand and an olive branch in her right hand. The reverse of this handsome coin features an impressively detailed eagle in flight.
