From the "Crescent City" - New Orleans - this 1903 Barber silver dime was struck the same year the first baseball World Series championship was held. That year teams from Boston and Pittsburg competed. Nowadays the World Series continues, as does the 10¢ denomination, but Charles Barber`s design on the 90% silver dime from that era has long since been replaced and is eagerly sought after by collectors today.
