The "Great King" Azes II ruled the Greek kingdom of Bactria (located in present-day Afghanistan) from 35 B.C.-A.D. 5. There is speculation of him being one of the three wise men to have visited Jesus in the manger. Most of Azes II's coinage was issued B.C., and stayed in circulation until at least A.D. 30.
